The Karam Law Firm is led by Dr. Carole Karam, a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars, and a licensed United States Patent and Trademark Attorney. She is also a Notary Public of the State of New Jersey. She earned her law degree from Viet Opp Law School of Temple University in 1992. Dr. Karam is a registered pharmacist – she holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.) from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1983. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S.P.) from the University of Alberta, Canada. She completed a residency program at Jefferson Medical College Hospitals in Philadelphia in 1985, after completing her Pharm.D., and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy. In addition to her extensive education, Dr. Karam went on to teach at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and Seton Hall University College of Pharmacy. Dr. Karam is also an Associate Professor of Clinical and Educational Services for the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.
Attorney Karam is active in several professional organizations including the American Pharmaceutical Association, where she sat on the Board of Trustees between 1994 and 1996. Dr. Karam served on the New Jersey State Nurses Association Board of Directors as an Apothocary Trustee from 1994 to 1997, and she served as Parliamentarian for the organization in 2001. In 1999, Carmen Karam, Ph.D., R.Ph., FAAPS, FAPhA – Dr. Karam’s brother – served as Past Chair of the Food and Drug Administration’s Compounding Expert Panel of the Federal Advisory Committee.
